University of Helsinki Centre for Continuing Education HY+ provides continuing education and development services for professionals, institutions, organisations, enterprises, states, and individuals. Our services reflect all academic fields of the University of Helsinki, and although based on solid research, our training programmes are designed to serve practice. In our development and consultancy services we believe in collaboration and empowerment. Our role in development programmes is to assist our collaboration partners during the process and support them to take the ownership of the project and implement it in a sustainable way.

The duration of the Education Reforms and Organisational Development Programmes can vary from one month to several years.

Our Professional Development Programmes seek to build and support change in the knowledge and skills of the participants. Our Master Classes in Finland and Intensive Training Programmes in participants’ home country include leadership development and in-service training.
The fields of our Professional Competence Development programmes reflect all academic fields of the University of Helsinki and the multifaceted needs in the current working life. The duration of a Master Class typically varies from one to three weeks, and the duration of an Intensive Training Programme can vary from one week up to an academic year depending on the programme’s specific objectives.
Our unique UniVisit concepts provide you with an insight into the Finnish education system and expertise. Eduvisits are customised professional educational visits designed to showcase Finnish practices in education. Medical Science Visits showcase the internationally renowned medical campus of the University of Helsinki and Law and Society Visits the Finnish Rule of Law and practices. Finland is one of the safest countries in the world with excellent and internationally high-ranking education for children. Our UniCamps offer children aged 8–18 innovative educational activities in dedicated science, sport and language centres, surrounded by Finnish nature.
We offer Science, Adventure and Language Camps which are all tailored to the needs and wishes of each group and can take place both in summer and in winter. The educational activities support the development of 21st century skills and utilise innovative Finnish pedagogical approaches and methods. The duration of a UniCamp is typically from one to two weeks.
